Saginaw

And we got back from Saginaw Convention this week. We stayed with Adam, Lisa, Marissa and Brendan. Marissa and Alexa had to take a bath together. This is a series of pictures I have of them in the bath together. They were maybe 1 or 2 yrs in the first one. They both love the water. If they get much bigger however, they might not fit anymore. And the pictures of all the kids with the tractors and trailer. I usually go through and try to pick out a couple of good pictures for the blog, but none of these was really good in the sense that anyone was looking at the camera. On the other hand, taken as a group they quite accurately reveal the post meeting chaos that was the normal state of events.

And Alexa woke up with "morning after convention" hair.

Convention was wonderful..we feel so rich.

Continuing with Nana and Papa's visit

One last alpaca picture because she was making such a funny face! And I finally got to take a picture of mom in the sweater I made her.
We went swimming at the hotel pool again.

And one last cuddle with Nana before going to the airport.

Nana and Papa's visit

There are so many things to catch up on this blog, but here we go..I got Alexa's hair up with lots of water and some gel and rubber bands and clippies..and it looked really cute for a while. This is the new swing that Papa put on the front porch for Alexa. She adores it, and it will be great in the rainy winter! Mom and Bert did so many things to help us at our house, we really appreciate it. They put the swing up, fixed the shower door, cleaned the garage!!, made a scooterboard for Alexa with a pull rope, moved the desk from the spare room to the garage and the nice desk in from the garage to the spare room, and just generally spoiled us to death. THANK YOU!

For fun we went to see the alpacas. You can feed them. They are so adorable I always want to bring one home.
I got an alpaca fleece for 21$ from an animal worth 65,000$. Isn't that crazy? (It is a boy and is for breeding. I don't think they are all that expensive.)

Vote for family picture

We tried to get a family picture last night. We need one for our adoption home study. Care to vote? The comments option at the bottom of the blog entry is a good way to do this..or to leave comments in general. Please do comment every now and then if you read the blog..sometimes it seems that no one is reading it. (Thanks to my most frequent commenters Sandra and Holly)

Sea World Part II

Another random assortment of Sea World pictures. Most of the ones with the actual whales and dolphins in them were taken by Holly-so I haven't got those yet. Sophia helped me pick out a cowboy hat like hers. And then we ate cotton candy together.

There is a 25 minute Cirque de la Mer show at Sea World that is amazing. All Cirque du Soleil shows are incredible.

Sea World Part I

Here's some more pics from Sea World. I have been remiss in blogging lately since we went to WA for David's grandpa's funeral and then met Mom and Bert in Portland and brought them home with us. They have been working very hard doing some things around here. I will show you in a later post.
I thought I should get Sea World posted first though to try and maintain some sort of chronological order.

Trip to San Diego

Alexa and I went to San Diego last Saturday to meet Nana and Papa and Auntie Holly and Cousins Jamie and Sophia. Immediately after getting seated with her seatbelt securely fastened, Alexa read the safety briefing card (located in the seat pocket in front of you) to find out what to do in case of emergency. Once we arrived in San Diego we went to Seaport Village where I consumed some tasty fish tacos and Alexa admired Sophia's sunglasses.
Then we went swimming. Alexa used water wings for the first time and had so much fun I didn't think we were ever going to get her out of the pool.
Sophia jumping in.
And Jamie who swims like a fish.
And Saturday morning before we left, at about 4 am we got a call that David's grandpa Woodie passed away. David and his sister Carolyn went to the Tri-Cities Saturday to make arrangements and take care of things. There was a viewing Monday evening and the funeral will be next Monday. David and Carolyn returned home Tuesday also, in time to meet Alexa and I at the airport and help me with the suitcase.
