Alexa and I went to San Diego last Saturday to meet Nana and Papa and Auntie Holly and Cousins Jamie and Sophia. Immediately after getting seated with her seatbelt securely fastened, Alexa read the safety briefing card (located in the seat pocket in front of you) to find out what to do in case of emergency. Once we arrived in San Diego we went to Seaport Village where I consumed some tasty fish tacos and Alexa admired Sophia's sunglasses.
Then we went swimming. Alexa used water wings for the first time and had so much fun I didn't think we were ever going to get her out of the pool.
Sophia jumping in.
And Jamie who swims like a fish.
And Saturday morning before we left, at about 4 am we got a call that David's grandpa Woodie passed away. David and his sister Carolyn went to the Tri-Cities Saturday to make arrangements and take care of things. There was a viewing Monday evening and the funeral will be next Monday. David and Carolyn returned home Tuesday also, in time to meet Alexa and I at the airport and help me with the suitcase.
