Olivia's feet are wet.

Alexa has recently begun chewing on Olivia and Sock Monkey's feet. I forget and pick one of them up and their feet are cold and slimy, in fact Sock Monkey has stains on his feet from goldfish crackers. Yuck. This is some improvement over chewing on the necks of her shirts however, since she has ruined several shirts this way as well as some wash rags and a handkerchief. She will even grab a smelly, wet, cold dishrag and chew on it. I don't understand why this is not as disgusting to her as it is to me. We haven't posted anything in a couple of days because not much is going on here except cold, gray weather.
Warning - whining paragraph ahead:
Alexa and I had to go to Costco today because we ran out of diapers. In addition to the fact that going to any store at this time of year makes me grumpy, my feet hurt, my hips, hurt and my back hurts. So after I successfully navigate a store full of people without running my cart into anyone, I go to where the diapers should be and they are not there. As you probably know, Costco is not about customer service, so I have to go flag down a busy cashier to ask where the diapers are. She tells me they have moved them to the back corner of the store. So I have to walk the whole length of the store again twice to get the stupid diapers. Aargh.
Thanks to all of you who have commented on the blog - it is nice to know folks are viewing it.

Is that a new sweater Alexa is wearing? Cute! Soggy feet are gross. And AMEN on Costco customer service!

When I was little I chewed the foot off my favorite cloth doll. I also always chewed on the necks of my shirts and on hoodie ties and sometimes on the ends of long sleeved shirts. I believe I found gnawing on cloth comforting. I share this bit of trivia about myself in the hope that you will find it reassuring that I did in fact grow out of it – though not before the age of seven or eight. Is that more than you really wanted to know?

Thanks Melody that actually is reassuring. Some days I just let her run around with no shirt on, but in the winter that doesn't always work.
